The Sparrows Have Landed! July 6, 2011 by Peter and Marla. We have now arrived back in Flagstaff. Our return journey on July 5th was less eventful than the outbound journey, but it had its moments. Dust Storm Approaching Phoenix on July 5. The cloud was a dust storm. According to some reports, it was the largest dust storm to hit Phoenix for more than 40 years! There are various types of dust storms. The one that occurred yesterday was an Habub or Haboob.
